I have watched you work through your problems since I joined Twitter and started following you, and I can honestly say you are one of the strongest people I know - other lesser people would have given up long ago, but somehow you seem to be able to find the will to keep going on. I only wish my own little girl develops the same strength of character that you have.
If you love L as much as you seem to, go out there and fight for her - all to often folk miss out on happiness because they're scared to take a chance. Don't let a chance pass you by because you're afraid you'll be rejected - you're bigger than that.
I do believe that your Nan is watching over you now - she will always be with you as long as you remember her. What you need to do now is be strong and be there to support your Dad. You may have lost your Nan, but he's lost his Mum - it's time for the rest of your family to rally round him and surround him with your love.
As regards the other matter - I wish I could just give you a huge hug and tell you everything will be all right, that a certain person will get his just desserts, but unfortunately there's the small matter of a couple of hundred miles and a large body of water between us. Yes, the Justice "system" failed you, but now you have to go out there and hold your head high - you have done nothing wrong - you said yourself that people know he's "guilty as sin". If the case had been tried in Scotland, he would not have "got away" with it so easily. The Court system there has a third verdict in addition to Guilty and Not Guilty - Not Proven. It means that they know he did it, but can't prove it. You, I, and all your other friends know the truth - he's not Innocent - it just wasn't proven.
I'm sorry for taking up so much time/space with this reply, but I wanted to let you know how much I feel for you right now, and how much I admire and respect you as a person. Whatever happens over the next months, know that we, your Twitter friends, will ALWAYS be here for you.
Take care, and go out there and live your life in the sunshine, not in the shadows!
Stonefences (Twitter)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4487840415426617998.post-2049282185868035052009-10-21T02:09:51.911+01:002009-10-21T02:09:51.911+01:00All of my grandparents have passed on, one before ...All of my grandparents have passed on, one before I was born, one when I was about one and another when I was 10 but my one Grandfather I have lots of fond memories of and now and then he appears in a dream and it's a strange comforting feeling.

I'm saying I guess in one way or another your Grandmother will always be with you

I'm not sure what to say about L, i'm not good at relationship advice lol mainly due to my lack of them.

I only just found out from reading your blog at that guy wasn't found guilty and i'm in shock he should be locked up for life

Take care,

xxxAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
